Betting platform Playbook Engineering has hired Ivo Doroteia as its new CEO.
Doroteia is an experienced executive in the iGaming industry. From 2011-2017, he was the Founder and COO of Virtual Sports Betting, then he worked as the VP for Global Lottery Corporation for two years; before getting promoted to COO in 2019.
The exec then went on to become CEO of Sportingtech in 2019-2022 and did a short stint as CSO at iGaming Platform before getting employed at Playbook Engineering as its latest CEO.
Following the appointment of Doroteia as CEO, the next step for the company is to further promote its UK offering while looking to break into new jurisdictions. The new jurisdictions that Playbook Engineering plans to break into are Latin America – specifically Brazil – and US markets.
To make this goal a reality, Playbook has been following the regulation process of the different jurisdictions, working with local authorities, working with gaming labs such as GLI and collaborating with operators for the last two years. Once Brazil is regulated, Playbook aims to be one of its first licensed platform providers.
