Light & Wonder has announced an expanded multi-year global licensing collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment (WBDGTE).

Fans will be able to play games online, starting with Willy Wonka: World of Wonka, which has been a physical slot machine for decades on casino floors. It is the first title to be released under the expanded licensing arrangement. The game will be released in the US, UK and Europe in its digital form, which captures the thrill of the original.

As a result of the long-term agreement, Light & Wonder's internal game development teams will be able to take advantage of several brand licensing products from its long-standing partner, WBDGTE.

Titles in a variety of verticals are expected to be released through the opengaming ecosystem in regulated markets around the world. On Light & Wonder's content aggregation platform, many other Wonka-themed games are planned to show up in all iGaming verticals.

As part of the global rights arrangement, Light & Wonder will also upload The Wizard of Oz: Road to Emerald City, a land-based game, along with other branded Warner Bros. games.

Dylan Slaney, CEO iGaming at Light & Wonder, said: “The Warner Bros. Discovery brand portfolio is legendary and our partnership has led to the creation of popular casino content, including Willy Wonka: World of Wonka.

“This is a huge step forward in terms of presenting our omnichannel vision to the world, as we continue to develop the most entertaining branded content available anywhere on the market.”
