PAGCOR Chairman unveils online casino launch details during keynote speech
The Philippines regulator plans to release Casino.Filipino.com during Q1 2024.
PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro Tengco recently revealed plans for Casino.Filipino.com’s upcoming launch. Tengco discussed the specifics of the online casino and its virtual reality-based technology during SiGMA Asia International Summit’s opening ceremony in Manila.
Gambling Insider was present during Tengco’s keynote speech.
Tengco said in his address: “It transcends physical boundaries, reaching a global audience and establishing a presence in virtual communities of gamers.”
He described the company’s latest project as “an opportunity to tap into new markets and diversify its customer base.”
He added that the online casino will “bring several benefits and opportunities such as increased revenue, extended reach and market expansion, cost efficiency, and enhanced customer engagement.”
Tengco also stressed the need for further regulation and oversight, stating that striving to reach global expansion “comes at a price.”
Both Tengco and SiGMA Group Founder Eman Pulis participated in SiGMA Asia’s first event and its opening. This year’s gathering kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was held at the SMX Convention Centre in Pasay City, Manila on the SiGMA stage.
The Casino.Filipino.com launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024 and will host PAGCOR’s online gaming operations.
PAGCOR functions as both a gaming operator and a regulator.
Tengco added: “Under the new management, we aim to prioritize education and health by building more education facilities, hospitals, and wellness centers nationwide.”
