Amelco gains licence from AGCO ahead of Ontario launch
The supplier expects to confirm its first Ontario partner in the upcoming weeks.
Sports betting provider Amelco has received a Gaming Related Supplier licence from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) for its iGaming, player account management and sportsbook suites.
This comes ahead of its announcement to begin operations in Ontario. Now, Amelco will roll out its complete end-to-end solution.
With its iGaming suite offering games from developers such as Evolution, NetEnt, Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play and Pariplay, Amelco is expected to benefit significantly from iGaming in Ontario.
Brandon Walker, Head of Amelco USA, said: “This represents a significant milestone for us and we are thrilled to be finally entering Ontario, where we are confident that both our sportsbook and iGaming products will prove to be very popular.
“We have huge plans coming up over the next 12 months and we want to expand our presence across Canada as other provinces are granted licences.”
Amelco and B2B technology provider Simplebet announced their alliance in April.
Through this partnership, all Amelco operators will have access to a wider selection of betting options for all US sports.
Elsewhere, with the help of a new relationship with Rush Street Interactive, Hacksaw Gaming hopes to increase its footprint in Ontario.
The operator’s Ontario-based brand, BetRivers, will receive access to Hacksaw Gaming’s game library.
