GamCare has announced D’Arcy Myers as its newly appointed Interim CEO.
Myers brings experience as an independent charity consultant, specialising in driving effective strategic development and managing change processes within non-profit organisations.
Having served as a charity CEO for over 12 years, Myers has demonstrated his leadership by successfully guiding multiple charities through transformative phases.
His achievements include his roles at Allergy UK, The Percy Hedley Foundation, the TV and Film charity and The Solicitors Charity.
Furthermore, he is a pivotal figure as a founding member of the Small Charities Coalition and has held influential positions as the Chair of The Association of Charitable Organisations and The Smallwood Trust.
Margot Daly, Chair of Trustees, said: “I am delighted to welcome D’Arcy to GamCare. His wide-ranging experience will be invaluable for the organisation at a time of great change for this sector.”
Myers said: “I am excited to be joining GamCare and supporting our staff and partners in the hugely important work they do. I look forward to meeting as many staff, service users and partners as possible in the coming weeks.”
GamCare, meanwhile, called on banks to strengthen gaming bans by increasing consumer awareness in June and provided suggestions for doing so.
By doing this, GamCare has shown its wish for greater awareness and support for vulnerable consumers outside the block.
The MMA Fan Podcast also collaborated with GamCare to raise awareness of gambling addiction.
Blake Harrison, who is most known for playing "Neil" in The Inbetweeners, serves as one of the podcast's co-hosts.
