FanDuel has appointed two athletes to its Responsible Gaming Ambassador programme, Carli Lloyd and Tom Kim.
They will join Craig Carton, another Ambassador, where they will raise awareness about responsible gambling.
The campaign will aim to educate the public on gambling limits, such as deposit and wager limits, as well as screen time notifications.
FanDuel will also develop a series of adverts with Kim, Lloyd, Carton for FanDuel, along with Rob Gronkowski and Kay Adams.
Lloyd, a two-time FIFA Women’s World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist, has played for a variety of teams during her career, including NY Gotham FC, Atlanta Beat, Western New York Flash and UK’s Manchester City.
On the appointment, Lloyd said: "I am excited to be joining the FanDuel team as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador.
"As sports gambling continues to become more accessible, I think it is critical fans adopt a mindset that gambling is supposed to be a form of entertainment and that tools are available to them within the FanDuel Sportsbook app to stay in control of the way they play.
“I'm eager to help my fellow ambassadors spread the word on the Play Well lifestyle."
Kim, full name Kim Joo-hyung, is a South Korean professional golfer who has won the PGA Tour, the Asian Tour and the Korean Tour, each of them twice.
Kim said: "When evaluating a potential partnership with FanDuel, I knew I wanted to be able to use my platform to advocate for responsible play.
"It is clear everyone at FanDuel takes responsible gaming seriously, and I am proud to join their team as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador and raise awareness among my fans, especially those around my age, and the golf community on and off the course."
Earlier this year, FanDuel launched its first Professional Pickleball Association betting markets ahead of the tournament.
