Industry giant Entain has announced Amanda Brown as an independent Non-Executive Director, who will also become a member of the Remuneration Committee.
In her most recent role, Brown was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Hiscox, where she was a member of the senior leadership team prior to stepping down in 2022. Currently, she is a Non-Executive Director and Remuneration Committee Chair of Mitchells & Butlers, and a Non-Executive Director and Chair Designate of the Remuneration Committee at the Manchester Airport Group.
Brown has also been a Non-Executive Director and Remuneration Committee Chair at Micro Focus International, while she has also obtained a degree in English from Reading University.
This appointment comes ahead of Entain releasing its Q3 update this coming Thursday, after reporting a 14% increase in net gaming revenue (NGR) for H1 2023.
Chairman of Entain, Barry Gibson, gave his thoughts on the appointment: “On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to welcome Amanda to Entain. Amanda brings a wealth of international business and board experience.
"I am confident that her skills and expertise will further enhance the Board’s ability to support and oversee the delivery of our strategy.”
At the end of September, Entain’s share price saw a decline of more than 30% compared to its value from the previous year, due to regulatory challenges.
