The World Darts Federation (WDF) has confirmed its official sponsor for the 2023 WDF Lakeside World Championships, revealing it to be Kwiff.
British bookmaker Kwiff has been established in the UK for over five years and is available in app form on both iOS and Android devices.
This will be WDF’s second edition and the event will be held at the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green, Surrey.
The 2023 edition will see defending Women’s Champion Beau Greaves go against either Laura Turner or Lorraine Hyde in her opening match of the tournament.
This year, Kwiff has extended its collaboration with both BetMakers and Xtremepush and signed a deal with Racecourse Media Group, while the Advertising Standards Authority ruled against Kwiff in an advert shown on Portsmouth FC’s website.
CEO of Kwiff, Charles Lee, said: "We are delighted to be joining forces with the WDF to celebrate the fantastic legacy of the Lakeside ahead of this year's World Championships.
“There are some incredibly talented players across the four tournaments and we are looking forward to joining them on their journey and seeing the stars of the show fulfilling their dreams of lifting the trophies on Sunday, 10 December.
“The WDF shares similar values to us at Kwiff and we look forward to sharing a wonderful partnership into December and beyond.”
WDF Secretary-General Nick Rolls was delighted with the news of the partnership, saying: "Having Kwiff onboard brings an extra dimension to the tournament. Everyone has an opinion on who will win each game and who will win the titles and Kwiff offers an online opportunity for fans and spectators to back up those words with a flutter or two.
“Of course, we do ask that people bet responsibly."
