Fanatics sportsbook launches in Virginia
The launch coincides with the introduction of a promotional event called 'Rewards Surge,' running for seven days during the Thanksgiving weekend.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming, a subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings has recently launched its online sportsbook in Virginia, extending its reach to the seventh state in the United States.
This launch arrives days after the sportsbook launch in West Virginia and follows the acquisition of PointsBet’s US operations for $150m in August 2023, facilitating the transition of PointsBet customers in Virginia to the Fanatics Sportsbook app.
During this migration process, PointsBet customers’ account details, including usernames, passwords, account balances, rewards and responsible gaming settings, are transferred to the Fanatics Sportsbook platform.
Fanatics Sportsbook presents several features within its platform. Notably, the app is designed natively for both iOS and Android.
Fanatics Sportsbook will feature a loyalty program, termed ‘FanCash – The Currency of Sport’. This program aims to allow users to convert earned FanCash into Bonus Bets or use it for purchasing team merchandise on the Fanatics.com platform.
The company promises that users can accrue up to 5% FanCash on Same Game Parlay bets, 3% on parlay bets and 1% on straight bets and odds boosts.
Additionally, the platform includes a ‘Discover’ page intended to provide users with access to trending bets, promos and rewards.
Fanatics Sportsbook also introduces live sports betting capabilities in collaboration with Genius Sports Limited, enabling customers to place bets while live streaming select professional football games within the app.
