LRGC Gaming Investors, a subsidiary of The Cordish Companies, commenced construction on the Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, a landmark project expected to target the Shreveport-Bossier market as a gaming, entertainment and hospitality destination.
The project, expected to cost over $270m, aims to be a catalyst for economic growth, projecting to generate substantial tax revenues for the City of Bossier and the State of Louisiana.
Over the first five years of operation, it anticipates generating approximately $35m in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and over $168m for the state.
Moreover, it is expected to create about 750 construction jobs and an additional 750 permanent positions in gaming and hospitality.

Set to open in 2025, the Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will span over 47,000 square feet of gaming space, featuring 1,000+ slots, electronic table games and live-action table games.
The property also aims to host a sportsbook, a 550-room upscale hotel, a resort-style pool, a fitness centre and a 25,000-square-foot Event Center for entertainment and gatherings. The dining and entertainment options aim to encompass 30,000 square feet.
The Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is being developed on the former site of Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel in Bossier City, situated along the Red River.
This initiative follows The Cordish Companies' earlier proposals and approvals for the renovation and transformation of Diamond Jacks Casino & Hotel, setting the stage for the Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana to be the region's land-based casino and entertainment complex.
