Mohegan makes changes to leadership team with new appointments and promotions

Tribal operator Mohegan has expanded its corporate executive team with strategic appointments and internal promotions. Joffre Wells joins as the VP of Capital Markets, Investor Relations and Corporate Treasurer, while Kelly Leung and Kelly Sullivan receive upgraded positions within Mohegan’s leadership.

Ray Pineault, President & CEO of Mohegan, said: “We’re so thrilled to have Joffre Wells join our team as his leadership and financial expertise are a perfect fit for our organisation, especially as we continue to grow as a premier operator of integrated entertainment resorts.

“Kelly Sullivan and Kelly Leung are also exemplary team members at Mohegan and their respective promotions are well deserved. Our leadership at Mohegan is as strong as ever as we head into 2024 where we’ll meet new challenges and evolve our brand further.”

Wells brings experience in fixed income and financial planning from previous roles at Brandywine Global and BlackRock. His focus will be on shaping Mohegan’s capital planning strategies.

Meanwhile, Leung’s promotion to SVP of International Marketing recognises his role in Asian Marketing at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut and expands his responsibilities to include Mohegan’s international portfolio.

And Sullivan’s appointment as VP of People Operations comes after her tenure focusing on human resources and business strategy within the Mohegan Tribe.

These appointments coincide with Mohegan’s recent opening of the Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea. Additionally, the collaboration with Tesla to establish an Electric Vehicle Showroom at Mohegan Sun aims to promote zero-emission vehicle sales and expand charging infrastructure in Connecticut.

Mohegan’s efforts for diversification and growth across its operations have been highlighted by its Q4 financial results and expansion into digital gaming.
