From Spring 2024, Paf will provide the gaming entertainment for cruise ship M/S Birka Gotland.

The cruise ship is owned by brand new company Gotland Alandia, after shipping companies Viking Line and Gotlandsbolaget partnered to invest in the Nordic region. The new company will invest in cruises exploring popular destinations across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Latvia.

Paf’s gaming contribution, including slot machines and table games, will be an integral part of a wide variety of entertainment options available to guests, such as restaurants, shopping and spa facilities.

"We are really looking forward to starting our cooperation straight away. We want to contribute with a good concept for the games onboard. It will be an exciting challenge to get all the new gaming machines and table games in place in the coming months," says Jannik Svahnström, Head of New Sales at Paf.

Paf was founded in 1966 on the principles of responsible gaming. As well as online facilities, its physical gaming operations are now established on over 30 cruise ships across the Baltic and North Seas. Paf recently enlisted the help of its employees to decide where to donate €100,000 ($109,260), settling on a range of charities to help give back to society.

Susanne Kaarnimo-Knight, CEO of Gotland Alandia Cruises, reflected Paf’s excitement at their upcoming partnership: "Paf is a well-established company and a natural partner for us. We are convinced that Paf can deliver a good package for the gaming experience onboard.”
