Online casino operator Mr Vegas has successfully acquired a sportsbook licence from the Swedish Gaming Regulator (SGA), allowing the platform to offer sports betting services for the next five years.
This duration aligns with the maximum term permitted for betting licensing in Sweden.
Mr Vegas Utilises the same in-house platform as Videoslots. The platform caters primarily to recreational sports bettors.
The strategic move to introduce sports betting aims to not compromise Mr Vegas' core identity as a casino-first brand. The platform promises to integrate sports betting while maintaining alignment with the established reputation of Videoslots, its operating platform.
Ulle Skottling, Videoslots Deputy CEO, said: "We're ambitious but realistic with our sportsbook goals. It's a very competitive market and a complex product to develop in-house, so we're pragmatic. For us, the key is to expand our offer and satisfy our loyal players."
In a related partnership development, Games Global has collaborated with Videoslots and its brand Mr Vegas. This collaboration allows Games Global to supply the Mr Vegas online casino platform with games from its studio, OnAir Entertainment, specialising in live casino content.
Players at Mr Vegas will now have access to a variety of live casino games, including titles such as Auto Roulette, Speed Blackjack, Travel Fever and Diamond Rush Roulette.
