Fanatics Betting and Gaming has expanded its presence in the US sports betting market with the launch of the Fanatics Sportsbook in Iowa.
This announcement follows recent expansions into Pennsylvania and Vermont earlier in January 2024.
The Fanatics Sportsbook app is now accessible for download on both iOS and Android platforms, allowing sports enthusiasts in Iowa to engage in sports betting activities.
In August 2023, Fanatics Betting and Gaming began acquiring the US Businesses of PointsBet, a move that laid the groundwork for its subsequent expansions into new states.
PointsBet customers in Iowa will have their account details automatically migrated to the Fanatics Sportsbook platform.
The Fanatics Sportsbook introduces various features aimed at improving the user experience, including the FanCash system, where customers can receive up to 5% of their wager back for use on bonus bets or purchases on Fanatics.com.
Additionally, the platform offers a Discover feed, providing personalised content, key statistics and trending bets to users.
The retail sportsbook at Catfish Bend Casino in Burlington, Iowa, will undergo a rebranding process from PointsBet to Fanatics Sportsbook. This transformation includes the installation of new self-service betting kiosks from Suzohapp to enhance customer service.
Despite these changes, the revamped Fanatics Sportsbook at Catfish Bend Casino will maintain its upscale lounge ambience, complete with multiscreen video displays, a sports bar and slot machines.
