of the UK’s biggest conference events focused on sports betting, the Betting on Sports Conference, is set to take place in London at the end of the week.

The finalised line-up of discussion topics and speakers has been released, and covers all manner of product verticals, including eSports, DFS and US sports. Industry issues, including anti-money laundering legislation, integrity in sports betting, and the impact of Brexit will also be discussed.

The two day conference, which will take place at The Grange Tower Bridge Hotel on 15-16 September, will include 28 separate discussions with 90 speakers, and an exhibition hall that will host stands of some of the biggest suppliers in sports betting, including Sportradar, Golden Race and BetConstruct.

One panellist who will speak about the future of sports betting is Marathonbet CEO Viktor Hoffman. When asked about the subject and the Betting on Sports Conference, Hoffman said: “One great characteristic about our industry is that it’s ever-changing, fast-paced and dynamic. New standards are always being set, while goals and targets are being smashed and re-set. Betting on Sports is a chance for us as a business to immerse ourselves in an industry we’re passionate about, and perhaps influence how we grow and achieve more great things in the future.”

Another speaker is Paul Leyland of Regulus Partners, who will be speaking on the popular talking point that is Brexit.

Leyland commented: “The key issue facing all stakeholders in the short-term is uncertainty. Lots of people are making lots of predictions, but the nature of this unprecedented circumstance is that nearly all of them will be wrong. Where there is uncertainty, there is an opportunity. This is a time for big change for all sector stakeholders, and while that is scary for most it will be the making of some.”

Other highlights of the schedule include an update on AML and social responsibility, which will be discussed by a panel including former CEO of the Gambling Commission Jenny Williams and former New Scotland Yard supremo Roy Ramm, and the BiG Foundation Sports Charity Gala Dinner, where celebrity sportspeople including David Haye, Ricky Hatton, Ray Parlour and James Haskell are expected to be in attendance.
