Sportradar secures supplier licence in North Carolina
This update marks Sportradar's 56th licence, or equivalent, in North America.
North Carolina is set to join the list of states with legal and live sports betting as it launches online wagering on 11 March – a development that brings the total number of US states where sports betting is legal to 38.
Off the back of this, it was announced that the North Carolina State Lottery Commission has granted a supplier licence to Sportradar Solutions LLC (the company’s US betting subsidiary) – an update that marks a significant milestone for the company’s US presence.
The licence, effective for five years from its issuance on 28 February, allows Sportradar to provide its products and services in North Carolina.
As such, the company will be able to deliver its sports data to sports betting and gaming agencies – a process that hopes to contribute to transparency and integrity across the marketplace.
This recent approval marks Sportradar’s 56th licence or equivalent in North America – spanning US states, territories, tribes and Canada. The granting of this new supplier licence in North Carolina hopes to assist Sportradar with positioning itself as a trusted and compliant partner in the US sports betting market.
This news comes not long after Sportradar received a temporary licence to operate in Maine – an announcement that came towards the back end of 2023. Thanks to this licence from the Maine Gambling Control Unit, Sportradar is also able to deliver its sports data to operators and gambling agencies across Maine.
