Melco Resorts and Entertainment has been awarded a total of eight Michelin stars in the Michelin Guide to Hong Kong & Macau.
Across its five properties, Cantonese fine dining restaurant Jade Dragon was the most successful – attaining three Michelin stars for the sixth year running. Also operating as part of Melco is Alain Ducasse at Morpheus, another City of Dreams-located restaurant that specialises in French gastronomy. This restaurant was awarded two Michelin stars.
Pearl Dragon is another one of Melco’s Cantonese restaurants that has been awarded one Michelin star. Similarly, Ying also offers high-end Cantonese cuisine and has been awarded a single Michelin star in this year's guide. Finally, Melco’s Japanese-style Sushi Kinetsu at City of Dreams was rewarded one Michelin star to complete the set of eight.
Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho said: “It is an honour to receive such a distinction from Michelin Guide to Hong Kong & Macau... we will continue to contribute towards Macau’s status as a UNESCO-designated Creative City of Gastronomy through our world-class culinary offerings. We thank our culinary F&B teams for their dedication to excellence as we congratulate them on this great achievement. We look forward to enhancing our offerings and attractions as we welcome guests from around the world to savour the best that Macau has to offer.”
This news comes within weeks of Melco publishing its Q4 revenue and FY2023 reports. Annual revenue jumped up by 180% year-on-year for a total of $3.78bn, with City of Dreams properties alone bringing in $559.8m of revenue - a 308% increase on the previous year.
