Grosvenor Leicester Casino, located on Highcross Street, has spent £3m ($3.8m) modernising its venue to create a new experience for visitors.
And, over the weekend, it celebrated with a relaunch for customers.
Paul Davies, General Manager of Grosvenor Casino Leicester, said: “This weekend’s celebrations are testament to the passion and dedication of the team to create a new-look casino venue that the city can be proud of.
“The investment by Grosvenor Casinos is more than just a fresh look – it’s a complete transformation of our gaming, dining and sports viewing experiences which will now allow friends and family to watch, play and enjoy a stylish night out every day of the year.”
The updated casino now includes a sports lounge, a poker room and an outdoor electronic gaming terrace.
A relaunch party was held at the casino with live entertainment from Bhangra Dancers, Dhol Drummers and a DJ.
In addition, an Olympic Games viewing party took place and, throughout the party, £6,000 worth of prizes were won.
This upgrade has created 30 new job opportunities for food and beverage managers in the local area.
Grosvenor Casino also released a new game Codebreaker, which has a chance for players to win £2,000, with a maximum win of £8,000. This game is available from 13-18 August.
