ACR Poker has successfully concluded its third annual charity tournament series in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising $20,000 for the United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF).
The online event, announced last week and held on 16 October, brought together poker players and ACR pros to raise funds for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
The fundraising effort featured two tournaments: A $55 buy-in event with a $15,000 guarantee that attracted 299 participants and generated a $14,950 prize pool, and a $16.50 buy-in tournament with a $5,000 guarantee that drew 339 entrants, creating a $5,085 prize pool.
ACR Pros Katie Lindsay and Ebony Kenney, along with ACR Team Online member Svitlana ‘Svetarik’ Dryha, hosted the event and streamed the action live.
Their broadcast gave viewers a firsthand look at the gameplay while raising awareness about the importance of breast cancer support.
The stream also featured a promotional giveaway, with 30 viewers winning $66 tickets to ACR Poker's $1m GTD Venom Warmup.
Commenting on the event, UBCF Executive Director Stephanie Mastroianni stated: “We are so thankful to ACR Poker and its players for their generous donation, which will help support individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
“These funds will benefit our most sought-after program, the Individual Grant Program, providing customised support and assisting with a wide range of expenses, from medical bills and procedures to housing bills and insurance coverage.”
ACR Pro Katie Lindsay added: “I’m so excited to once again raise money for such an incredible foundation.
“UBCF provides so much support and healing opportunities for people battling against cancer and I’m so grateful to everyone for being part of raising money for such an important cause.”
