Jelly Entertainment has appointed Steven Matsell as its new CEO.
Matsell joins Jelly Entertainment with over two decades worth of experience in the industry, with prior positions as Director at Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS), part of Playtech and CEO of Leander Games.
Following the acquisition of Leander Games by Raw iGaming, Matsell went on to become the Chief Commerical officer of the latter in 2022.On his appointment, Matsell said: “Stepping into this role excites me, and I’m inspired by the talented team around me. My goal is to build on the strong foundation David established, accelerating growth and new market expansion while upholding our commitment to service, relationships, and values.”
Matsell will succeed the current CEO, David Newstead, who will transfer to the role of Chief Business Development Officer, where he will drive Jelly Entertainment’s market presence and sales funnel.
On succeeding Newstead, Matsell continued: “David has been key in building Jelly into what it is today. His determination and resilience have driven much of our success, and his move to Chief Business Development Officer will allow him to focus on his true strength – developing new business opportunities and nurturing international partnerships.”
Good to know: Matsell is also a Managing Partner and Founder of White Coral Group, a legal advisory group in the iGaming markets
This comes as part of a wider C-Suite shuffle which saw Silvio Insigne welcomed as CFO, Kim Eaglestone as COO and Salvador Lima CCO throughout the year.

Most recently, Jelly Entertainment partnered with Scientific Games, which will see the company's portfolio distributed throughout Scientific Games' content platform.
