The European Casino Association (ECA) has unveiled the ECA Strategic Supplier Partnership, as it aims to foster collaboration within the industry.
Aristocrat Gaming, IGT, Light & Wonder and Novomatic have been announced as the first partners to join this initiative, as the ECA looks to encourage collaboration between itself and select partners operating within the land-based casino sector.
This partnership will look into a number of areas such as advancing responsible practices, equipment standardisation, enhancing security measures and strategies for combatting illegal gambling, while hoping it will create a platform for networking and exchanging knowledge.
Good to know: IGT and Light & Wonder have both this week announced their financial results for the third quarter of 2024
Overall, the ECA Strategic Supplier Partnership looks to help with the sustainable growth and integrity of the European casino industry.
European Casino Association Chairman Erwin van Lambaart said: "We are pleased to welcome Aristocrat Gaming, IGT, Light & Wonder and Novomatic as the founding members of the ECA's Strategic Supplier Partnership.
“This collaboration allows us to share diverse perspectives and work towards solutions that benefit the entire gaming community, while respecting the distinct roles of operators and suppliers."
This news follows the ECA signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the American Gaming Association (AGA) and the Betting & Gaming Council (BGC) in October related to collaboration between the three organisations, focusing on illegal gambling, responsible gaming and innovation.
