Key points:
- Thunderkick has received a B2B licence from the Danish Gambling Authority
- The licence permits Thunderkick to continue distributing its games in Denmark
- The approval follows Thunderkick’s broader European expansion efforts in 2024
Supplier Thunderkick has obtained a B2B licence from the Danish Gambling Authority (Spillemyndigheden), ensuring the studio can operate within Denmark's regulated market until 2029.
The new licence enables Thunderkick to distribute its games to Danish operators under updated national regulations introduced this year.
The licence reflects Denmark’s ongoing shift towards tighter regulatory controls, requiring gaming suppliers to secure authorisation to continue providing their products in the market. Thunderkick’s approval allows it to maintain its operations.
The company currently supplies its games across numerous European jurisdictions and has identified Denmark as a key component of its broader growth strategy.
Good to know: The licence adds to Thunderkick’s portfolio of regulatory achievements, which includes approvals in markets such as Italy, Spain and Hungary
Wan Kim, Thunderkick CCO, stated: “Obtaining a B2B licence has been a focus since the Danish Gambling Authority announced the new regulations earlier this year and our application’s success emphasises the quality of Thunderkick products and our unwavering commitment to adhering to consistently updating regulations.”
This development follows Thunderkick’s partnership with CasinoMania, an Italian operator, as part of its effort to expand its footprint in European markets. In Hungary, Thunderkick entered a partnership with Vegas.hu earlier this year.
The company’s Danish operations will include its slot titles, such as Midas Golden Touch and Sword of Arthur, which have been integrated into platforms in the region.
