Videoslots to consolidate as rebranded Immense Group

The operator's multiple brands, including four online casinos and one sportsbet casino, will consolidate under the Immense Group umbrella

rebrand videoslots

Key points:

- The operator's five brands, Videoslots, Mr Vegas, Kungaslottet, Mega Riches and Dbet, will consolidate as Immense Group

- Jesper Kärrbrink has been appointed as CEO of newly established holding company Immense Group AB

Videoslots and its associated brands will be consolidating under a new brand name, Immense Group.

The decision has been made in order to deliver growth objectives, while also aiming for innovation within the business. By choosing a new, ‘distinct’ name, and focusing on regulated markets, the operator hopes it will be able to develop each brand under the Immense Group umbrella further.

Corporate social media channels will also be affected, with the @VideoslotsCareer handle set to transition to @Immense or @LifeAtImmense instead.

On the transition, Videoslots CEO and Co-Founder Alexander Stevendahl said: “Videoslots Group has an impressive track record in a fast growing, rapidly changing industry. Adopting the Immense Group name reflects our ambition to continue driving progress and fostering growth for each individual brand.”

Despite the consolidation, customer-facing brands will keep their current names, such as Videoslots.com, Mr Vegas and Kungaslottet. The rebrand has thus been described as a ‘behind-the-scenes' evolution for the brand; a common practice during mergers and brand consolidations in order to avoid confusion among players.

Just one example of this can be seen in Evoke’s (then 888 Holdings) acquisition of William Hill in mid-2022, opting to keep the customer-facing brand name the same due to its status as a legacy brand, especially in the UK.

Immense Group gains new CEO

Alongside a new name, the group has also introduced a new CEO in former Svenska Spel and Mr Green CEO Jesper Kärrbrink. He will lead the newly established holding company, Immense Group AB, which is based in Stockholm.

Good to know: In its Q3 2024 results, Svenska Spel reported SEK 1.78bn ($0.17bn) in net gaming revenue, down 9% year-on-year.

Kärrbrink’s career in the gaming industry began over 20 years ago, with his experience in senior leadership going back to the early 90’s. In 1993 he became CEO of Swedish legacy newspaper Östersunds-Posten, and in 1998 became CEO of Bonnier Veckotidningar & Bonnier Interkativ, part of Östersunds-Posten’s parent company, Bonnier News Local AB.

His career in the gaming industry began in 2004 when he was appointed as CEO of Svenska Spel, Sweden’s then-gambling monopoly operator. Between 2008 and 2016 he was CEO of two other companies outside of gaming, before returning to the industry as Mr Green CEO in April 2016. Later, he became Chairman of Green Jade Games, while also serving on several boards since 2020, including Internet Vikings and Infostat.

On the transition, Kärrbrink said: “The Videoslots journey is a true success story. With four additional brands and a new corporate structure, now is the perfect time to introduce a new umbrella brand that carries the strong Videoslots culture into its next chapter.”
