Stake has named Thomas Carvalhaes as its Brazil Country Manager after securing regulatory approval for its casino and sportsbook licence in the Brazilian market.
Carvalhaes brings industry experience and will lead a team of 10 local employees, supported by Stake’s global workforce of 1,000.
The team will focus on providing localised operations while aiming to ensure compliance with Brazil’s regulatory framework.
Carvalhaes said: “I am taking the lead of a brand that has the ability to innovate and find the right opportunities to speak with the right audience, which is something really powerful and definitely a winning combination.”
Good to know: Stake has already established partnerships with local organisations, including Juventude Football Club, UFC and racing drivers Pietro and Enzo Fittipaldi
Earlier this year, Stake partnered with Just Slots to expand its slot game portfolio.
The agreement added titles such as Sugar Heaven to Stake’s platform, with additional games scheduled for release in 2025.
Stake also previously collaborated with Hub88, integrating content from over 120 studios to broaden its offerings.
