Bookee provides Uber-style ‘Splitbet’ feature for swipe-to-bet app

Book

bookeesplitbetapp
ee, a mobile-first Tinder-style app, has launched its Splitbet feature which enables users to split their stake with a friend. This new element of the app allows users to share both the risk and reward of each bet placed.

Bookee users can now choose a contact to share the stake with, once the Splitbet option is selected for a particular bet. Players can either choose from the list of contacts already using the Bookee app, or invite a friend to download the app and accept the bet.

App users will receive a push-notification of the request to share the stake, while contacts who have not previously used the app will receive a personalised SMS invitation, including a link to download Bookee from the App Store.

This new feature adds to Bookee’s new swipe-to-bet app, where users swipe wipe the screen to either reject or accept a host of recommended bets.

Adam Kalmanson, Bookee Co-founder and Head of Sales and Marketing, comments: “The app is already very different from anything else on offer within the sports betting market and this feature is yet another industry first.

“We are constantly thinking of ways to develop Bookee to enhance the user-experience and having learnt from apps like Uber, we see the Splitbet facility as being something our users will value and enjoy using.”
