Key points:
- FanDuel has launched an exclusive multi-round parlay feature allowing customers to combine picks across different tournament stages into a single wager
- Additionally, the new ‘Bet Back Token’ feature gives customers the option to reclaim their wager in Bonus Bets if a bet is unlikely to succeed
FanDuel has unveiled new product innovations ahead of the March Madness basketball tournament.
The enhancements include an exclusive feature allowing bettors to combine selections across multiple tournament rounds into a single parlay, as well as a new 'Bet Back Token' that offers customers a way to recover their wager if a bet is not unfolding as expected.
The tournament parlay feature enables users to integrate various predictions into a single bet. As such, customers can now wager on teams advancing to specific rounds, winning their region or claiming the championship title, all within the same parlay.
This marks the first time a sportsbook has provided the ability to place bets spanning multiple rounds of the tournament, allowing bettors to turn their bracket predictions into wagers.
Additionally, FanDuel’s Bet Back Token aims to offer increased flexibility for bettors. The token enables customers to receive their stake back in bonus bets if a wager is not going as planned.
Whether a parlay leg is underperforming, a key player is injured or a team is significantly trailing late in a game, users can apply the token up until the final moments of the match. The refunded amount, subject to promotion limits, is instantly returned as bonus bets.
Commenting on these developments, Karol Corcoran, Senior Vice President and General Manager of FanDuel, stated: “The March tournaments offer a full month of high stakes college basketball, and while fans’ brackets may be busted after a round or two of tournament games, their bets no longer have to be with the Bet Back Token.
“Combined with our unique multi-round parlay feature, this year we are offering our customers unparalleled flexibility."
These new features come off the back of a series of recent developments for FanDuel. Last month, for example, the company partnered with Are You Watching This?! to integrate real-time sports excitement alerts into the FanDuel Sports Network platform, allowing users to receive notifications about significant game moments.
