Holland Casino Online appoints new director

Holland Casino Online has selected Jan Paul van Heemskerck of Beest, who joined in the company in September 2022, to serve as its Director of Guest & Product Development.

He will begin his duties effective 1 April and will replace the current Director of Digital Transformation Jeroen Verkroost.

Verkroost will be leaving Holland Casino Group at the beginning of next month. The company has eliminated the role of the current Director of Digital Transformation.

Holland Casino Online said its decision to transfer duties “is the result of a restructuring at the head office of Holland Casino.”

Changes in management have also taken place, the company said.

Along with serving as a director, Verkroost was responsible for leading the IT department. The company has selected Pieter Boers to step in as Director of Casino Technology & Operations Support upon Verkroost’s departure.

Boers first joined the company in 1998. During his career with Holland Casino, he has served in various positions there, including in the IT department.

Holland Casino first opened its doors to guests nearly five decades ago, after National Foundation for the Exploitation of Casino Games was approved for the only casino license in the Netherlands in 1975.

Holland Casino launched its first location in Zandvoort in 1976. During the next several decades, the brand has grown to include 14 destinations, as well as an its online casino, which launched on 4 October 2021.
