Key points:
- BoyleSports has paid out early on Willie Mullins to win the British Trainers’ Championship
- Mullins currently trails Dan Skelton by a slim margin, with key races remaining
- The early payout aligns with BoyleSports’ recent strategy following similar moves in rugby and golf
BoyleSports has announced an early payout on all bets placed on Willie Mullins to win the British Jumps Trainers’ Championship – despite the Closutton trainer currently trailing Dan Skelton by a narrow margin.
The bookmaker made the call with just £8,005 ($10,600) separating the top two in the standings, citing Mullins' season-long dominance and recent momentum as justification.
The early settlement applies to all bets and stakes placed on Mullins before 11:15am on Tuesday 15 April.
Good to know: This payout follows another early settlement by BoyleSports on Rory McIlroy's Masters victory, where customers who backed the Northern Irish golfer were paid out after he took the sole lead following the third round
The season finale at Sandown next weekend could prove decisive in determining the championship outcome, but BoyleSports has already decided to reward Mullins backers.
Commenting on the decision, Sharon McHugh, a spokesperson for BoyleSports, stated: “As the ‘Home of the Early Payout’, our customers don’t have to wait for the finish line, especially when GOATs like Rory McIlroy and Willie Mullins are mastering their arts.
“Willie has rewritten the script all season and we’ve seen enough already to believe he’s going to finish the job in style!”
This early payout continues BoyleSports' recent pattern of confidence in Irish sporting success, following similar early settlements on Ireland's Six Nations rugby campaign in March.
