The Swedish Government has announced that Senior Lecturer Jenny Cisneros Örnberg will join the Board of the Swedish Gambling Authority, Spelinspektionen. Cisneros Örnberg’s term on the Board will begin on 21 April 2025 and will run until 31 March 2027. Her academic and professional experience is expected to bring new insight to the Authority’s ongoing work. The Board will remain chaired by Claes Norgren, with Fredrik Holmberg, Madelaine Tunudd and Therese Mattsson continuing their roles as members.
The Swedish Gambling Authority is responsible for regulating the gambling market in Sweden, focusing on consumer protection, fair play and responsible gambling. Cisneros Örnberg’s appointment comes at a time when the gambling industry continues to face challenges in regulation and technological advancements.
