The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Genius Sports have announced an extension of their partnership, securing Genius Sports' role as the exclusive distributor of official NCAA data to licensed sportsbooks through 2032.
As part of the expanded arrangement, sportsbooks participating in the Authorized Gaming Licensee (AGL) program will gain access to official NCAA data feeds and branding assets.
This program will also see Genius Sports working alongside operators to try to uphold integrity standards, promote responsible gaming and limit high-risk betting markets – aiming to maintain fair play across collegiate sports.
Looking forward, the partnership will introduce GeniusIQ, an AI and machine learning platform developed to boost the LiveStats offering.
GeniusIQ is designed to deliver real-time analytics, performance insights for coaching staff and more data-driven experiences for fans.
Good to know: The NCAA LiveStats platform currently supports over 70,000 games annually and is used by schools, coaches and conferences
Commenting on the development, Genius Sports CEO Mark Locke stated: “Since 2018, Genius Sports’ technology has transformed the college sports data ecosystem.
“This extension is a powerful endorsement of our vision – delivering cutting-edge data solutions to support NCAA schools while connecting our sportsbook partners with the highest quality NCAA official content, alongside our exclusive NFL and Premier League rights.
“Most importantly, it’s a partnership grounded in innovation, integrity and a shared commitment to the future of collegiate athletics.”
The agreement comes on the back of strong financial results for Genius Sports in 2024, including a 38% increase in Q4 revenue and an improvement in profitability across its key business segments.
