MGA issues warning over false licensing claims by Casinowinner.io

Key points:

– The MGA confirms no affiliation with casinowinner.io and calls its licensing claims false and misleading

– Consumers are advised to verify operator licences to avoid unregulated, high-risk platforms

– The warning is part of broader MGA efforts to crack down on unauthorised gambling websites

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has issued a public notice clarifying that it has no affiliation with the online platform casinowinner.io.

The regulatory body stated that any claims made by the website regarding an MGA-issued gaming licence are false and misleading.

In its announcement, the MGA reminded consumers to verify the licensing status of any gambling operator before engaging with its services.

The authority stressed that licensed entities must comply with strict regulatory standards designed to protect players. In contrast, unlicensed operators such as casinowinner.io operate outside of these controls, potentially exposing players to significant risks including unfair gaming practices and financial insecurity.

This warning follows a pattern of similar notices from the MGA in recent months.

At the end of last month, for example, the authority identified 17 URLs associated with God55’s online casino as unauthorised.

That operation reportedly targeted customers in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam while falsely claiming MGA and PAGCOR licensing.

Just days prior to this, the MGA had issued another warning about multiple websites, including nagacash9x.com and several related domains, that were falsely claiming association with the regulatory body.
