Key points:
- Fennica Gaming has obtained a B2B supplier licence for the Greek market
- This announcement comes following a recent phase of expansion for the company
- The supplier will now be able to distribute its gaming and services products in Greece
Greece’s gambling regulator, the Hellenic Gambling Commission (HGC), has confirmed the successful application of Fennica Gaming for a B2B licence in the nation.
Following this development, Fennica will now be able to distribute its gaming and gaming service products in Greece – and closely follows additional successful licence applications in Sweden and Ontario.
Indeed, the supplier is presently moving through a phase of global expansion which also saw it launch its eInstant games in Belgium via partnership with Nationale Loterij.
More recently, in its home market of Finland, the supplier introduced a new game studio alongside unveiling significant changes to its executive leadership team in anticipation of the de-monopolisation of the nation’s market. As a Veikkaus subsidiary, Fennica Gaming must itself transition into the new-look market following its implementation – which is currently scheduled for 2027.
Speaking on this latest development, Timo Kiiskinen, Managing Director of Fennica Gaming, said: "This is yet another major achievement for Fennica Gaming and a clear demonstration of our commitment to expanding our presence in regulated European markets.
Good to know: Fennica initially launched its online casino portfolio in December 2024
“Securing B2B license in Greece allows us to bring our trusted game and service portfolios to a dynamic multi-vertical gaming market with an ambition to drive growth in the region. We are excited to support our partners in delivering entertaining and responsible gaming experiences to Greek players.”
Elsewhere, last year saw the supplier also launch its eInstant offerings in the French market via partnership with La Française des Jeux (FDJ) as part of the initial phase of its continuing European expansion strategy.
