Oddsgate has officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), marking a commitment to responsible gambling, transparency and compliance in emerging markets.
This move aligns Oddsgate with over 50 licensed operators and 125 brands monitored by the IBIA, which collectively oversee more than $300bn in annual betting turnover.
The decision follows an audit process, assessing Oddsgate’s governance, operational and technological standards.
Commenting on the development, Óscar Madureira, Chief Legal Officer at Oddsgate, stated: “Being part of IBIA is more than just a seal. It’s a natural extension of what we believe in and practice daily: responsibility, transparency and consistency.
“We always consider that our role as a B2B platform goes beyond technical support. We know that, directly or indirectly, we also contribute to the perception and development of the industry. That’s why we take an active stance in promoting good practices across all fronts.”
Good to know: Oddsgate’s integration into IBIA’s network holds particular relevance for the Brazilian market, where the onshore betting industry is projected to reach $2.8bn in gross gaming revenue (GGR) by 2028 – provided public policy and regulation continue to support the sector
The IBIA’s integrity monitoring has proven highly effective, with 99.96% of events between 2017 and 2023 showing no signs of manipulation.
Additionally, IBIA’s Q1 2025 report recorded 63 alerts globally, mostly involving football and tennis, and demonstrated ongoing vigilance amid evolving threats.
