Light & Wonder upgrades gaming terminals across all Mecca Bingo venues in UK-wide rollout

Light & Wonder has announced a nationwide agreement with Mecca Bingo to modernise gaming infrastructure across all 50 of its UK venues.
The rollout includes the installation of 850 Equinox gaming terminals and upgrades to 645 T8 cabinets, with updated Mk8i hardware to support long-term technical performance and content expansion.
The upgrade forms part of a wider collaboration between the two companies and will also see Mecca adopt Light & Wonder’s Videobet platform.
The new system is designed to support a seamless transition in preparation for forthcoming regulatory changes affecting UK gaming venues.
According to Light & Wonder, the deployment is intended to enhance hardware consistency across venues while continuing to support content across the B3, B4 and Category C segments.
Titles such as Rainbow Riches Blazing Lock have already been made available through the new terminals, with early performance data described as positive.

Light & Wonder recorded $774m in revenue for Q1 2025, marking its 16th consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth.
