Operator Buzz Bingo has reported its full-year financial report for the 2024 annual period, highlighting a 5% increase in net gaming revenue to £217.2m ($293.2m) for the year.  

Overall, this revenue increase has been primarily driven by retail revenues, which reached £173m during the year, up 3% compared to figures from 2023. However, online revenue from the operator’s Buzzbingo.com and Buzzcasino.com entities was subject to a more notable upswing of 14% year-on-year, rising to settle at £44.2m during 2024.  

Elsewhere, Buzz Bingo’s underlying EBITDA figure reached £41.8m for 2024, up 20% year-on-year and complemented by an attached net cash flow from operating activities figure of £39.7m. Indeed, this net cash flow number represents the sharpest upswing reported by the operator during the full-year period, rising 28% from the £30.9m reported the year prior.  

As part of a statement pertaining to future strategy, Buzz Bingo Director Matt Eatock expressed the following: “Buzz’s single-minded focus is to be the nation’s number 1 choice for bingo. The core strategic focus is on creating a fun, entertaining experience for our customers, leveraging Buzz’s many years of experience at the heart of many communities across the UK.  

“Through building upon its customer centric omni-channel offering, Buzz will focus on delivering great value for its customers and enabling them to play wherever is most convenient for them. The underlying investment and operational strategy will continue to centre on enhancing the customer experience across both clubs and online whilst ensuring we minimise the risk of harm at every stage.” 

Good to know: During 2024, Buzz Bingo completed the acquisition of two Merkur bingo clubs, as well as offshoring its online business to Gibralta

More recently, the operator announced a £25m investment aimed at modernising its land-based venues as part of a multi-year refurbishment plan.  

Elsewhere in 2025, the operator was subject to regulatory scrutiny for a Facebook post made by Buzz Bingo Grimsby, after two complaints suggested it could be appealing to under-18s.

However, an investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority deemed that these allegations could not be upheld.
