- Appointments follow a period of restructuring amid revenue and EBITDA declines

Raketech has announced the proposed nomination of Kathryn Baker as Chair of the Board of Directors, with Magnus Alebo set to join as a new board member.

Both appointments are expected to take effect on 30 July 2025, following the planned departure of current Chair Ulrik Bengtsson, who will step down from his role and from the board entirely.

Baker brings with her over 25 years of experience in private equity, venture capital and corporate governance, with notable roles including Chair of Catena Media and board member of Gaming Innovation Group.

Her knowledge of investment strategy and board leadership hopes to help Raketech navigate a period of transformation and seek renewed growth following a challenging financial year.

Magnus Alebo adds further industry-specific experience, having held senior positions at Betsson Group, William Hill and Hero Gaming. Alebo is also the founder of Casumba Media, which is part of Raketech’s current portfolio.

His operational and marketing background is hoped to strengthen the board’s oversight of Raketech’s affiliate and content strategy.

Commenting on the new appointments, Raketech CEO Johan Svensson stated: “On behalf of everyone at Raketech, we are delighted about Kathryn's proposed appointment as Chair of Raketech and welcoming Magnus to the Board.

“Their leadership experience and deep sector expertise will be a significant asset, and I look forward to working with both of them as we focus on executing our strategy and delivering sustainable growth for our shareholders.”

The announcement follows a period of restructuring at Raketech, which saw significant revenue declines and a refocused business model. The affiliate recently reported a €61.2m ($69.7m) revenue figure for FY 2024, alongside an operating loss of €55m.
