Another 7 operators served with cease and desists in Arizona

The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has this week issued multiple cease and desists to gambling operators it claims are illegally targeting Arizona residents.
Legal and regulated online gambling is restricted to sports betting and fantasy sports in the state and all operators must be licensed by the State of Arizona.
The operators named in the legal notices have reportedly been illicitly offering players various slot-style games, among other illegal forms of betting.
The cease and desist notices demand the cessation of all illegal trading by seven operators: ReBet, Novig, Dallas Safari Club, Fanthem, Stake.US, BettorEdge and High 5.
Jackie Johnson is the Director of the ADG and has made the department’s stance clear: “Whether it’s online casino-style games, sweepstakes models, or unauthorised sports betting, any operation that falls outside Arizona’s legal and regulatory framework will face enforcement action.”

In this case, the ADG has suggested that the named operators are in violation of the following felonies: the promotion of gambling, illegal control of an enterprise and money laundering.
They will now be expected to take all steps necessary to bar access to their services for anyone located in Arizona.
The ADG urges caution and vigilance as they attempt to enforce regulations designed to offer protection to players.
A consumer advisory notice says: “Just because you can download the app, access the website, and play the games does not mean the platform is legal or safe.”
