– New regional arm to support compliance, payments and market entry for global firms

– Appointment follows similar expansion initiatives in India and across Latin America

SCCG Management has appointed Jose Augusto Paulista as Country Manager for SCCG Brazil.

Paulista brings more than 18 years of industry experience, having held senior compliance and operational roles at Entain, PokerStars, Lottoland and Dazn Bet.

His background includes the development of anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks and risk systems across multiple European jurisdictions. He is certified by the International Compliance Association and fluent in four languages.

The new office will act as SCCG’s regional advisory hub, offering business development, licensing, payment strategy, AML implementation and fraud detection services for companies seeking to enter or scale within Brazil’s regulated environment.

Stephen Crystal, SCCG Founder and CEO, said: “Jose is one of the most accomplished compliance and operations leaders in our industry and we are thrilled to welcome him to the SCCG global leadership network.”

Good to know: In July 2025, SCCG partnered with India-based fantasy platform BeatFantasy to reduce customer acquisition costs and expand access to AI-driven sports engagement tools

SCCG’s recent moves have seen it expand into multiple emerging markets. In India, its collaboration with BeatFantasy has positioned the group to support operators targeting real-money gaming (RMG) audiences in a regulatory framework where fantasy sports are considered a game of skill.

With SCCG Brazil, the company aims to connect global suppliers in sportsbook tech, payments, CRM and AI risk solutions with local Brazilian operators.

The launch comes as Brazil prepares for wider regulatory enforcement following the passage of gambling reform legislation in late 2023.
