Amsterdam’s Dutch Eredivisie football club AFC Ajax has announced a new partnership with Asian focused online bookmaker KB88 as the clubs’ official Asian betting partner for the next two seasons.

Dutch media sources have reported that the deal will see Ajax take approximately €400,000 per season to promote KB88.

AJAX will focus on promoting KB88 channels through its social media assets, with the club’s commercial team stating that AFC Ajax will form a major presence on Chinese social media platform, Sina Weibo.

Ajax’s new Chief Executive Edwin Van der Sar confirms the partnership in this statement to Dutch media stating: “Ajax is delighted to announce our new partnership with KB88. We are constantly looking at opportunities to enthuse further our growing Asian fan base and to promote the club worldwide.

“After earlier collaborations with Asian companies such as CST and Huawei, this partnership feels very good and we look forward to this pan-Asian cooperation.”

Representing KB88 , Darren Royle adds: “Ajax is a big club with a great history and is known for its youthful and self-trained players. Ajax will ensure promotion in the pan-Asian region.”
