Gambling Commission looking into TV gambling content

The

UKGamblingCommission
Gambling Commission are to advise broadcasters on gambling-related content in TV game shows.

The Commission, which regulates gambling in the UK, are currently compiling their findings on the topic, with the suggestion being that they may call for contestants on game shows to be required to demonstrate some level of skill in order to win prizes.

Although little is known about the focus or scope of the research, ITV1 game show Red or Black is believed to be one program causing concern, with the Commission reported to have held talks about the show with the broadcaster.
