Delaware sports betting revenue and total wagers both fall in October
Delaware sports betting revenue fell from $3.6m in September to $500,000 in October, with the amount wagered also falling 13% to $14.7m.
In September, Delaware Park took $11.5m in sports wagers, with Dover Downs accepting $3.2m in bets and Harrington Raceway taking $2m in wagers.
However, all three venues accepted far less in total handle during the month of October, with Delaware Park’s number of wagers falling by approximately 40,000 bets in total.
Of the $14.7m generated in sports revenue in the Diamond State, $14.2m was won back by customers, meaning the $500,000 in revenue generated for October was a sharp fall from September.
For the year to date, Delaware has now accepted $54m from 944,167 wagers, generating revenue of $6m.
The majority of sports betting handle has come from Delaware Park ($38.5m).
