HKJC launches football betting app
The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has launched a new football betting app for mobile devices, where customers can bet on and watch matches, while also accessing live statistics and other key information.
GoalX is a “personalised journey all in a single application,” offering a new digital experience for customers over the age of 18.
Customers can log in via biometric authentication, and can utilise the HKJC eWallet function. The simplified betting user interface meanwhile automatically displays the availability of all up combinations and expected dividends.
Available to users in Hong Kong only, the app involves free live-streaming of selected matches, as well as an animated livecast that displays lineups, statistics, commentaries, scores and goal alerts, all in real time.
Head-to-head records, recent form and live odds are also part of the app, while the personalised journey feature allows customers to add a favourite team and favourite matches.
“GoalX is the new addition to our suite of customer digital experience platforms,” said Richard Cheung, HKJC Executive Director, Customer and International Business Development.
“It aims to address unmet customer needs in the current classic 3-in-1 app in terms of rich and live football information, easier to make transactions as well as biometric login, eWallet and funds transfer in one application.”
