The online gaming company will provide financial support, as well as its expertise in technology for the next five years.

Wondr Nation has become the official sponsor of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, which is dedicated to preserving the history and culture of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.

The company will provide technology-advanced advisory to enhance and support the institution’s operations, research, displays and public programming.

With a focus on having a positive impact on the community, it will also help the museum implement engaging and immersive elements, such as creating virtual reality experiences for a few exhibits, constructing a Wondr Smart lab to introduce STEM, implementing live streaming to expand the reach of museum programming outside of its physical boundaries and more.

Anika Howard, President & CEO of Wondr Nation, said: “As a tribally owned company, we are deeply committed to the preservation and advancement of the Mashantucket Pequot culture. This partnership allows us to extend our impact by providing enriching tech-forward educational experiences for the tribal community and the public.”

Additionally, Wondr Nation and the research centre will start youth and adult community-focused programming that offers motivational tales, instructs on cultural subjects and increases access to vital resources.

The free Artisan Entrepreneur Symposium, an event for the museum that will centre on the perspectives and needs of artisan entrepreneurs, will be one of the inaugural events under this theme which will take place on 23 May 2023.

Joshua Carter, Executive Director of the museum, said: “We are thrilled to have Wondr Nation as our lead sponsor. This partnership will have a tremendous impact on our ability to preserve and celebrate the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation’s history.”
