IGT signs contract with Connecticut lottery to launch iLottery system

The iLottery gaming platform is expected to go live in the autumn of 2023.

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) and IGT have entered into an eight-year agreement for the deployment of IGT’s iLottery gaming system and related components.

With the use of IGT’s new website and mobile app, the CLC will be able to market keno and draw-based lottery games for the first time.

IGT serves as the main technology provider for 25 American lotteries.

The agreement has a projected end date of May 2031 and four years’ worth of extension options. The iLottery gaming platform is expected to go live in the autumn of 2023.

According to the terms of the agreement, IGT will provide the CLC with its iLottery system, which includes providing solutions created to maximise the Lottery’s back-office productivity as well as intuitive player interfaces.

Gregory Smith, Connecticut Lottery Corporation President & CEO, said: “The CLC recognises that today’s lottery player is looking for convenient and modern options to play their favourite games and IGT’s iLottery system will allow us to offer our players the same great experiences they receive at retail in a responsible, digital format.

“We look forward to deploying this iLottery system and believe the expanded play options will be a welcome addition among our players.”

Srini Nedunuri, IGT SVP at Global iLottery, said: “IGT has a proven track record of delivering growth-driving solutions to our global lottery customers and we are excited to build upon this momentum by introducing iLottery to the CLC’s players.

“We will partner closely with the CLC over the next eight years to develop iLottery programme and help to generate maximum funds for good causes within the state.”

Additionally, IGT will create a new website and mobile app for convenience that will allow CLC customers to purchase Keno, jackpot games and lottery games based on Connecticut draws including Lotto!, Cash5, Play3 with Wild Ball and Play4 with Wild Ball.
