Arizona grants licence to bet365 for Ak-Chin Indian Community
The application process opened on 1 August 2023 and closed on 15 August 2023.
The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) has officially granted an event wagering operator licence to bet365, acting as the representative for the Ak-Chin Indian Community.
This comes following the regulations set out in A.R.S. § 5-1304, A.A.C. R19-4-105 and 106.
In June 2023, the ADG announced the initiation of the application process for available event wagering licences, including one for Arizona Tribes and two for Arizona Sports Franchises, as defined in A.R.S. § 5-1301(7).
The application window lasted two weeks, opening on 1 August 2023 and closing on 15 August 2023.
Applicants had to submit their completed applications within this timeframe to be eligible for consideration.
Meanwhile, as bet365 prepares to launch in Kentucky in around a month, it marks the sixth market for the platform, which is already operational in Ohio, Virginia, New Jersey, Iowa and Colorado.
Pre-registration is ongoing for the Kentucky launch.
Furthermore, following Kentucky’s announcement of granting temporary sportsbook licences, bet365 entered a multi-year partnership with Sandy’s Gaming and Racing.
Through this arrangement, the bet365 app will be able to accept bets on athletic events in Kentucky from Sandy’s Gaming and Racing.
