Genius Sports signs deal with Snapchat for new NFL lenses
The partnership will go live on September 17, when the lenses debut at the LA Rams vs 49ers game.
Genius Sports has signed a new deal with Snap that will see it power new lenses on the social media app Snapchat.
The lenses will feature live NFL scores and replays for ‘Snapchatters,’ while being exclusive to Verizon 5G customers.
Matt Ryter, VP of Sales, Media & Fan Engagement at Genius Sports, said of the new partnership: “Snapchat’s Lens technology is leading the AR revolution across US sports, giving fans new and exciting platforms to put themselves at the center of the live experience.”
The new lenses will become availcentren September 17, when the LA Rams host the San Francisco 49ers. The lenses will also showcase ‘merch try-on, a 3-D interactive map of the stadium and real-time stats’ for Verizon and Snapchat users.
Additionally, Verizon customers will be offered 40% off an annual subscription to NFL+Premium, which has access to live games.
