BetMGM and Philadelphia 76ers extend sports betting partnership

Operator BetMGM has officially renewed its strategic partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers.

As part of this multi-year extension, BetMGM has plans to focus on improving the gameday experience for fans both within the arena and those watching remotely.

Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM, stated: “This extension allows us to further enhance the gameday experience for fans, in the arena and at home. We look forward to continuing our rewarding relationship with the 76ers this season and beyond.”

During the upcoming 2023-2024 regular season, BetMGM will curate VIP fan experiences that include courtside access to pre-game shootarounds and luxury seating for games.

Additionally, BetMGM customers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey will have exclusive access to a 50% live odds boost token during 76ers games.

Katie O’Reilly, Chief Revenue Officer for the 76ers, emphasised the importance of the partnership: “We’re joining forces again with BetMGM to promote another opportunity for fans to embrace competition, just in time for the new season. We are thrilled to build on our continued success here in the Philadelphia market and offer our unique experiences for BetMGM customers and 76ers fans alike.”

The partnership will have BetMGM’s presence visible throughout the Wells Fargo Center, with signage featured on the grandstand, videoboard and courtside LEDs. Furthermore, BetMGM content will be integrated into the 76ers’ social platforms and email campaigns.

MGM Resorts’ Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City continues its role as the ‘Official Away Game Host of the 76ers.’ The resort plans to host VIP watch parties featuring appearances by 76ers alumni and merchandise giveaways.

In its quest to expand into new markets, BetMGM has been focused on responsible gambling education, offering resources such as GameSense, developed and licensed to MGM Resorts – this program aims to help customers play responsibly.

This renewal follows BetMGM’s successful financial performance in H1 2023, with net revenue reaching $944m, marking a 55% increase from H1 2022’s total of $608m. BetMGM’s achievements have positioned it on a trajectory to self-sufficiency by H2 2023.
