GiG Appoints Andrew Cochrane as Chief Business Officer
Cochrane will work alongside Richard Carter.
Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has recently made an addition to its leadership team by appointing Andrew Cochrane as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Platform & Sportsbook. Cochrane will work alongside GiG’s newly appointed CEO for Platform & Sportsbook, Richard Carter.
GiG believes his experience in customer relations and his contribution to securing high-profile contracts in both new and mature regulated markets make him a valuable addition. Cochrane played a role in DraftKings and SBTech’s revenue growth in the US market.
As the CBO, Cochrane’s responsibilities include implementing GiG’s commercial strategies for the iGaming platform, sportsbook and AI-driven solutions. His initial focus will be on recruiting talent in the industry to find opportunities in the global market.
Richard Carter, CEO for Platform & Sportsbook at GiG, expressed his enthusiasm for working with Cochrane again stating: “His previous record speaks for itself and the appointment marks a significant coup for the business, helping us to realise the enormous potential we have here at GiG.”
Cochrane, on the other hand, sees this as an exciting time to join GiG and has been impressed with the company’s ambitious plans and its potential for success. He anticipates the company’s continued growth, with further investment strengthening its offering.
In addition to this appointment, GiG recently appointed Richard Carter as the CEO for Platform & Sportsbook, as the company prepares for a split into two separate divisions. GiG has also reported strong financial performance in the second quarter of 2023, with increased revenues in its media services and platform and sportsbook segments.
Earlier this month, GiG’s expansion had extended to the Ontario iGaming market, powering Goldenpark’s entry into North America – the company now aims to expand into the global market.
