AGAE, which oversees the World Mahjong Tour, plans to expand the series through additional tournaments, themed events and digital engagement opportunities in the coming year.

AGAE CEO Yinghua Chen commented: “The overwhelming participation and excitement at our first World Mahjong Tour event reaffirms our vision to build a vibrant, connected mahjong community. Mahjong has a rich cultural history and through events like this, we aim to elevate it as a global experience that unites players through fun, competition and tradition.”

The World Mahjong Tour initiative is reportedly designed to create a structured and accessible platform for players, integrating live events with digital components to encourage broader participation.
