GamCare has appointed Victoria Corbishley as its new CEO, taking over the role from D’Arcy Myers.
Myers was handed the position of Interim CEO in August 2023, having served as a charity CEO for over 12 years, taking over from Anna Hemmings, who resigned in the June of that year.
Now, the charity has appointed Corbishley CEO, who brings with her experience in healthcare transformation and service delivery.
In her career, GamCare’s new CEO has worked as Senior Director of Health and Care at the British Red Cross, while she has worked within the NHS, the voluntary sector and healthcare innovation.
Corbishley in her new role will play a key role in enhancing accessibility, strengthening collaboration with key stakeholders and continuing to maintain GamCare’ work to offer support, education and treatment for those affected by gambling harms.
GamCare Chair of the Board Margot Daly said: “As GamCare navigates the evolving landscape, Victoria’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our collaborations with the NHS as well as UKRI and OHID as the new prevention commissioner.

“Her strategic mindset, operational expertise, and commitment to innovation align perfectly with our mission. I look forward to working with Victoria as we continue to expand GamCare’s impact and ensure our services remain responsive to the needs of those we support”
Corbishley herself added: “I am honoured to join GamCare at this crucial time. Last year alone, GamCare’s National Gambling Helpline received over 55,000 calls and online chats. The charity also directly delivered more than 9,100 structured treatment sessions, referred over 7,100 individuals to other regional support providers, and 64,000 people participated in the charity’s education programmes.
“These numbers highlight the essential role GamCare plays in supporting those affected by gambling harms, and reinforce our commitment to accessible, high-quality care. My focus will be on ensuring GamCare remains a leader in delivering life-changing interventions while working closely with partners across the NHS and wider sector to shape the future of gambling harm prevention treatment.”
